Job Description

  • Supervise front office activities, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests efficiently.
  • Ensure VIP arrivals and late check-ins are handled professionally.
  • Monitor hotel occupancy and coordinate with housekeeping and security.
  • Perform the night audit to verify daily transactions, revenue, and room charges.
  • Reconcile financial reports and prepare end-of-day statements.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, credit card processing, and billing procedures.
  • Manage and support the front desk and night team.
  • Train and assist night auditors, receptionists, and security personnel.
  • Ensure team members follow hotel policies and procedures.
  • Oversee hotel security and ensure the safety of guests and staff.
  • Conduct property rounds to check for any security or maintenance issues.
  • Handle emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or guest disturbances.
  • Maintain accurate records of night activities, incidents, and guest interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with department heads about any issues or updates from the night shift.

Qualifications

About you…

  • Previous experience as a Hotel Night Manager and night audit in a high volume hotel, 200+ rooms
  • Proven experience with PMS: Opera cloud
  • Exceptional customer service skills, communication and time management skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills and an excel expert
  • A friendly and warm personality with immaculate grooming and presentation
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
  • Possess a proactive and resourceful approach with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work evening shifts 11pm – 7am over a rotating roster as per business needs, including weekends and public holidays
  • Willingness to obtain or have a current QLD RSA and First Aid Certificate
  • Qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance desirable however not essential
  • Excellence in your field and the demonstrated ability to act as a true ambassador for our Hotel.
  • Must hold unlimited work rights in Australia.
