Night Auditor - Part Time

As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand within Australia we invite you to belong to something bigger. We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent! With 517 refurbished rooms, 10 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, Mercure Sydney is on the look out for a Part Time Night Auditor to join the team.

During your shifts from 11pm-7am, you will be responsible for assisting our Night Manager in the efficient running of the hotel’s overnight operation, while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and the safety and security of the property.

A night in the life of our Night Auditor consists of: 

• Providing exceptional guest service at all times
• Assisting with all overnight operations of the hotel, including; reception, switchboard, reservations and room service
• Conducting auditing of all payment transactions, daily revenue and postings throughout the hotel, and making any necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy
• Preparation and distribution of relevant reports
• Assisting with the management of hotel security and emergency procedures
• Ensure necessary handover of information is passed on to the oncoming shift.

As the successful applicant, you will have the following:  

• Experience working in Front Office
• Excellent grooming and pride in presenting yourself well
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable to work autonomously
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• The ability to make decisions, solve problems and multi task
• Proven ability to succeed under pressure
• Strong computer literacy – Excel and hotel PMS experience essential (Opera and Shiji advantageous)
