Night Auditor/Assistant Night Manager – Full time

As a Night Auditor/Assistant Night Manager, reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will support the hotel's night operations whilst creating a warm welcome experience for our guests overnight. No two days are the same when you perform end-of-day auditing and reporting.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career. It provides you with the chance to build upon your current skillset. This is a dual role, you will be engaged as a Night Auditor, and required to step into the Assistant Night Manager when the Night Manager is not on site (approximately 2 days per week).
- Hold responsibility and accountability for the efficient operation of the hotel while the Night Manager is not on duty
- Complete end-of-day auditing, reporting, and balancing for all departments and hotel functions
- Be proactive and resourceful when attending to guest requests
- Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive
- Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by our guests
- Provide guidance, support training, and leadership to team members
- Assist with and cover valet parking as required
- Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues
- Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and staff members
- Previous experience in the hotel industry is a must
- A night owl, who enjoys working alone, with the ability to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, shift hours generally from 11pm – 7am
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and First Aid
- Full Tasmanian Manual Drivers Licence
- Ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your bright and bubbly customer service style which sets you apart from the rest
- Exceptional customer service & communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
- An energetic, team focused, and CAN DO attitude.
- Willingness to take ownership and have the initiative to carry out different tasks as required
- A good understanding of finance and accounting practices
- Knowledge of Opera PMS is a bonus
