Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and professional Massage Therapist to provide high-quality massage and wellness treatments to clients. The Massage Therapist will assess clients’ needs, recommend suitable treatments, perform various massage techniques, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and relaxing experience while maintaining professional standards and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and any relevant physical concerns.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, aromatherapy, relaxation, and other treatments according to qualifications.
- Customize treatments based on each client’s requirements and comfort level.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment, linens, oils, and supplies are properly maintained.
- Follow health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Provide appropriate after-treatment care instructions and wellness recommendations.
- Monitor clients’ comfort throughout the treatment and adjust techniques when necessary.
- Maintain accurate treatment records where required.
- Communicate professionally with clients and other spa or wellness team members.
- Promote available spa services and products when appropriate.
- Report any equipment issues, incidents, or client concerns to management.
- Attend training and maintain professional knowledge and certifications.
Qualifications
- Relevant certification or diploma in Massage Therapy, Spa Therapy, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Massage Therapist is preferred.
- Knowledge of different massage techniques and their appropriate applications.
- Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and client safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and behavior.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand and perform massage treatments for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
