Job Description
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair activities of our hotel. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure, and overall appearance of our hotel
- Look after the building compliances and liaise with the compliance auditors
- Managing contractors and service requests
- Spot the areas for improvement and take measures to improve those areas
- Troubleshoot the issues and act on the complaints on a timely basis
- Prepare the necessary reports and ensure that the budget is being followed
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel premises to identify and address maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment inventory
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
