We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operations of all engineering systems within our hotel. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities to uphold our reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Assist the Chief Engineer in planning, organising, and directing the engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.
• Coordinate the activities of the engineering team, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources and adherence to safety standards.
• Attend daily hotel operational briefings and liaise closely with the departmental managers to ensure all matters are addressed in an appropriate timeframe.
• Oversee the preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with repair and renovation projects, coordinating with external contractors and vendors as necessary.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Train and mentor Maintenance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in maintenance practices and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.

• Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems and other relevant software.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of OH&S regulations and protocols 
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
