We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Laundry Associate to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and care for all linens and garments. As a Laundry Associate, you'll work collaboratively with our laundry team to ensure every item is processed, cleaned, and delivered with precision and excellence. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment where your contributions directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success.

• Sort and classify laundry items by type, color, and soil level (light, medium, and heavy soiled) while separating dry cleaning items from regular laundry
• Operate washing machines and related equipment correctly, loading appropriate quantities, adding detergents or chemicals as required, and following standard procedures to prevent equipment damage
• Remove stains from items using proper stain removal techniques and approved chemical solutions in accordance with established guidelines
• Iron and press linens, employee uniforms, and guest garments according to quality standards and organizational procedures
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality, ensuring all items are delivered without stains or damage; report any issues to the Laundry Supervisor
• Tag all linen according to established guidelines and standards before processing
• Check for valuables or personal items before processing linens and report findings according to company procedures
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure operational effectiveness and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
• Maintain equipment in proper working condition and ensure machines are never left unattended while powered on
• Perform regular inventories of linen and operating supplies as directed by team leaders, preventing wastage and spoilage
• Keep the workplace and storage areas clean, organized, and tidy at all times
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, hygiene standards, and organizational security regulations
• Support environmental commitments by practicing energy conservation, recycling, and proper waste sorting
• Collaborate with housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure seamless operations
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management with flexibility and professionalism

**Required Skills & Competencies:**

• Proficiency in operating laundry equipment and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Ability to sort and classify linens accurately
• Knowledge of stain removal techniques and chemical handling

**Preferred Experience:**

• Previous experience in laundry operations or textile care
• Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment
• Experience working in hospitality or facility management environments

**Education & Certifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Certification in laundry operations or textile care (preferred but not required)

**Domain Expertise:**

• Understanding of fabric care standards and best practices
• Knowledge of chemical safety and proper handling procedures
• Familiarity with linen classification systems and inventory management
