We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Laundry Associate to join our team in Chennai, India. As a Laundry Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens, uniforms, and guest items in our fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Sort and classify laundry items by type, color, and soil level, ensuring proper separation of dry cleaning from regular laundry items
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and irons, following standard procedures and safety guidelines
• Apply appropriate stain removal techniques and detergents to ensure thorough cleaning of all items
• Perform quality control checks on laundered items to ensure cleanliness and proper finishing
• Iron linens, employee uniforms, and guest items according to established standards
• Conduct routine inventories of linens and operating supplies as directed by team leaders
• Tag and organize clean laundry for efficient distribution to various departments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Laundry Supervisor promptly
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms
• Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in laundry operations

• Proven experience in laundry operations or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting
• Proficiency in operating industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons
• Strong knowledge of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and proper handling of different textiles
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy loads
• Basic math skills for inventory management and supply tracking
• Time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
• Basic English language proficiency for effective communication with team members and supervisors
• Familiarity with local climate conditions in Chennai that may affect laundry processes (preferred)
