About ASTORE

ASTORE is our Global Procurement Organization, which covers all products & services needed by our clients to address their daily operational needs or one-shot construction and renovation projects. The Europe & North African (ENA) Astore team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and promoting its products and services in 50 Countries, across Europe, CIS and North Africa.

 

About VIE

V.I.E. (“Volontariat International en Entreprise”) is an international paid program of up to 2 years and organized in collaboration between companies and the French government. It is meant to offer the ability to gain professional experience and opportunity to learn, grow and develop in an international work environment and provide a first step on your further career path.

To be able to participate, any applicant will need to fulfill the following criteria, independent of the job profile:

  • Age 18 to 28
  • French or European citizenship (EEA-countries)
  • Graduated from their university studies and/or vocational training and able to work full-time for the duration of the program

Job Description

Junior Procurement Category Manager - Food & Beverage Distributors (m/f/d) - VIE

Are you ready to embark on an international experience with one of the leading global hospitality groups? As a Junior Category Manager for Food & Beverage Distributors within our Astore Procurement Department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Food & Beverage-related procurement strategies across the Europe & North Africa (ENA) region. Join a diverse, multicultural team and help identify hotel needs, find innovative solutions, and contribute to responsible hospitality.

The role will be based either in our office in Lausanne, with a possible contract duration of 12 or 18 months.

 

What are your main responsibilities?

  • Assist in developing strategies for your categories, focused on the distributors in Food & Beverages
  • Analyze customer needs and market trends to develop and optimize product and service assortments.
  • Support RFP processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure optimal offers for the hotel network.
  • Drive supplier performance and promote offerings to internal stakeholders, while managing the marketplace portfolio and digital tools.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and contract adherence, and consolidate data to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Track KPIs and conduct data analysis to support decision-making across the category.
  • Assess suppliers against CSR criteria, including sustainability, ethical practices, and decarbonization commitments, and help monitor and report on their progress.
  • Promote responsible sourcing practices across the supplier base.

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or a related field.
  • Ideally, first experience or internship in procurement, category management, or FMCG/F&B environment
  • Interest in supplier management and market analysis
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English & French is a must
