Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant IT Manager to support the planning, operation, and continuous improvement of information technology systems at SLS The Red Sea. Working closely with the Director of IT and hotel leadership, this role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure and systems, enabling seamless hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences in line with SLS and Ennismore standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of all hotel IT systems, including PMS, POS, networks, servers, telephony, Wi-Fi, and end-user devices.
  • Assist in maintaining system availability, performance, and security across all hotel departments.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support system integrations between PMS, POS, Finance, Sales, F&B, and third-party applications.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security policies, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate issues proactively to minimize operational downtime.
  • Support new system implementations, upgrades, patches, and testing activities.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, licenses, and configuration records.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, service contracts, and support agreements.
  • Support user access management, system permissions, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Provide IT support during critical hotel operations, openings, and special events.
  • Ensure compliance with Ennismore IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and local regulations.
  • Support IT audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
  • Promote IT best practices and provide basic system training to hotel colleagues.
  • Act as a deputy to the IT Manager when required, supporting leadership and decision-making.
  • Maintain effective communication with department heads to understand operational technology needs.
  • Uphold data protection, confidentiality, and information security standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in hotel IT operations, with exposure to assistant or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems including PMS (Opera preferred), POS systems, networking, and end-user support.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, servers, Wi-Fi solutions, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with system integrations, cloud-based applications, and vendor management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call support when required.
  • Prior Middle East or luxury lifestyle hotel experience is an advantage.
