Internship: People & Culture - The Hoxton, Lloyd

Region

Luxury & Lifestyle

Company Description

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Since opening our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve always been about more than just offering a bed for the night. We create spaces where guests and locals come together, with great design, vibrant public spaces and a genuine connection to the neighbourhood.

At The Hoxton, Lloyd, our people are at the heart of what we do. As a People & Culture Intern, you’ll work closely with our People & Culture Manager, supporting the day-to-day people operations and helping create a great experience for our team, from their first day to their last.

We’re looking for someone to join us for 5–6 months, ideally starting in January 2027. Have a different start date in mind? We’re happy to discuss it.

Job Description

What you'll do…

  • Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning.
  • Post vacancies on our careers page and relevant recruitment platforms to help us find the right people.
  • Help welcome new team members by coordinating onboarding, organising coffee chats and making sure they feel at home from day one.
  • Keep employee records and HR systems up to date, including setting up accounts and supporting administrative processes.
  • Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities.
  • Help bring our team together by organising team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives.
  • Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about important updates, activities and opportunities.
  • Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing documents to ordering business cards and preparing paperwork.
  • Handle employee information with care and confidentiality.
  • Be a go-to person for the team, helping colleagues with questions and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

Qualifications

What we're looking for…

  • Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Available for a 5–6 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and quick to pick up new systems.
  • Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once.
  • Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information.
  • A natural people person who communicates easily, enjoys helping others and knows how to make people feel welcome.
  • Individuals. Be yourself – no clones in suits here.
  • A team player who leaves their ego at the door, rolls up their sleeves and gets things done.

What's in it for you…
