Job Description

At the Rimrock, in-room dining is not a convenience, it is a curated, elevated extension of our culinary experience. Leading it requires intention, discretion, and an intuitive understanding of how guests want to feel in their private space.

As In-Room Dining Manager, you’ll oversee an operation that blends restaurant-level food and beverage with quiet precision, emotional intelligence, and impeccable timing. You’ll shape In-Room Dining as a calm, seamless, and indulgent experience, from order taking to delivery, ensuring every interaction feels thoughtful, unrushed, and deeply considered.

Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $55,000 - $62,000 per year, dependent on experience
Reports to: Director of Events and In-Room Dining

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of In-Room Dining operations, service standards, and team performance.
  • Shape IRD as a distinct dining experience, not a fallback or convenience function.
  • Oversee daily order flow, timing, and delivery to ensure precise, quiet, and seamless service.
  • Maintain service standards that prioritize discretion, privacy, and emotional awareness.

Experience Design & Collaboration

  • Partner with Culinary, Beverage, and Hotel leadership to design menus and offerings that travel well, hold quality, and feel complete in-room.
  • Lead surprise amenities, VIP drop-offs, and pre-arrival luxury add-on experiences.
  • Ensure wellness-forward, dog-friendly, and privacy-led standards are consistently upheld.
  • Manage mini-market / honour-style self-serve concepts on guest floors.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, mentor, and support IRD Servers and Lead Servers (Order Takers).
  • Foster a culture of calm professionalism, pride, and accountability.
  • Lead by example, setting the tone for service pacing, communication, and guest care.

Quality, Feedback & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor guest feedback, service quality, and operational opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain operational discipline while preserving warmth, flexibility, and care.
  • Ensure compliance with service standards and luxury brand expectations.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Leadership experience in luxury hospitality, in-room dining, room service, or fine dining operations.

• Operational excellence paired with a genuine passion for guest experience.
• ProServe certification required

Bonus If You Bring

• Experience with Forbes, LQA, or similar luxury service standards.
• A background in wellness-focused or lifestyle hospitality environments.
• Creative experience with curated amenities, VIP experiences, or personalized guest moments.
• A desire to redefine in-room dining as a modern, elevated experience.

Who You Are

You’re composed, intuitive, and guest-obsessed. You understand that luxury often lives in restraint, timing, and tone. You lead with presence rather than volume, and you’re deeply attuned to how service makes people feel. You thrive in environments that require discretion, adaptability, and emotional intelligence, and you take pride in delivering excellence quietly, consistently, and with care.

Lead with intention. Serve with discretion. Stay moved.
