Job Description

Are you passionate about cooking, learning and being creative? Are you ready for a move which will elevate your career? Then we are looking for you!

As a Kitchen Team Member you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen working alongside a fantastic and welcoming team.

You will have opportunities to learn and share knowledge and be part of an environment that brings the best out in you!

A little bit about what you will be doing:

  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus
  • Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards
  • Run a smooth and efficient service
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
  • Perform prepping of food and kitchen porter duties.
  • Keeping the KP area clean and tidy.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.  Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy.  Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.  Report any problems to the Management
  • Must be available to work scheduled shifts within the hours of 05:30am - 10:00pm

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Kitchen porter or Kitchen Team Member is prefered but not essential.
  • Should be able to Multi-Task.
  • Can prioritise tasks.
