Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and play a key role in building a strong, engaged, and high-performing organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with managers to align people practices with business goals, support organizational development, and ensure full compliance with Serbian labor legislation. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where your ideas matter and where you can directly influence company culture and employee experience.

What You’ll Do

HR Administration & Labor Law Compliance

  • Prepare employment contracts, annexes, and termination decisions in accordance with the Labor Law of the Republic of Serbia
  • Manage employee lifecycle documentation and ensure full legal compliance
  • Handle employee registration, changes, and deregistration with the Central Registry of Mandatory Social Insurance (CROSO)
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, including employee files, attendance, and annual leave records
  • Prepare official HR decisions (annual leave, unpaid leave, employment status changes, etc.)
  • Monitor and apply relevant labor law updates and regulatory requirements

Employee Support & Operations

  • Act as a first point of contact for employees on HR-related topics
  • Coordinate issuance of employment certificates and other official documents
  • Communicate with external institutions (CROSO, National Employment Service, pension and health funds, etc.)
  • Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate and timely HR data

Recruitment & Talent Support

  • Assist in recruitment and selection processes (job postings, screening, interviews coordination)
  • Maintain and improve the candidate database
  • Participate in onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews

Culture & Engagement

  • Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and motivating company culture
  • Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist in developing HR policies, procedures, and internal guidelines

Health, Safety & Reporting

  • Support implementation of occupational health and safety measures in line with Serbian regulations
  • Maintain required HSE documentation
  • Prepare regular HR reports and analytics for management

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in HR administration or HR generalist roles, preferably in hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of Serbian labor law and HR practices
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of English language – written and spoken
