Sofitel Melbourne is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Housekeeping Management team in ensuring the efficient day to day running of this busy department. This role will provide crucial support and leadership to Ambassadors whilst maintaining the consistent, high level of service and product standard expected of a luxury brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Induct and train new Ambassador’s into the Housekeeping team, department and Hotel in their first month to meet Brand and Service standards

•Ensure adherence of all team members on safe work practices 

•Collaborate with the team ensuring daily briefings and relevant information is communicated

•Assist Management in the daily checking of rooms to maintain standards

•Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure rooms are available for our guests arrival

•Ensure safe storage, issue and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment as specified by the manufacturer and procedure manual

•Prepare daily reports for hotel occupancy forecast, events and group movements

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

•Minimum experience of two years in Housekeeping, in a similar role is preferred

•Computer literate in Excel, Microsoft word, experience with Opera and HotSos is an advantage

•Ability to work a rotating roster including, weekdays, weekends and public holidays

•Excellent interpersonal, organisational skills and attention to detail

•Full working rights in Australia
