Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining luxury hospitality standards, supervising team members, and ensuring efficient departmental operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and Housekeeping team members.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with luxury hotel standards.
  • Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned, maintained, and prepared according to hotel brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Monitor housekeeping productivity and maintain efficient room turnaround times.
  • Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping colleagues to deliver exceptional service and maintain high performance standards.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory control of housekeeping supplies, chemicals, linen, and equipment.
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in achieving departmental goals, quality audits, and guest satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Housekeeping within a luxury hotel environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and luxury hospitality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and deliver service recovery when necessary.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
