Job Description

As a Hostess at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, part of the All-Inclusive Collection, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. You will greet guests with warmth and professionalism, manage reservations and seating, and ensure smooth guest flow in the restaurant while upholding the brand’s distinctive style and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly, creating a memorable first impression that reflects SO/ Hotel’s stylish and vibrant brand identity.
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waiting lists effectively to optimize guest flow and table turnover.
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus, ensuring they are comfortable and attended to promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant offerings, daily specials, and promotions to confidently answer guest inquiries.
  • Coordinate closely with servers and management to ensure efficient table assignments and service delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating when necessary to management.
  • Ensure the host/hostess stand and entrance area remain clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor dining room activity, assist in table resets, and support the service team as needed during peak periods.
  • Promote upselling opportunities by highlighting featured menu items or hotel offerings.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with hotel policies and local regulations.
  • Represent the SO/ brand through impeccable grooming, confident presence, and engaging communication style.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, resorts, or upscale restaurants preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage with diverse guests.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently.
  • Professional appearance and confident demeanor, aligned with the SO/ brand’s bold and stylish identity.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Proficiency in POS/reservation systems and basic computer skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
