We are looking for a Full-time Handyperson who wants more than just a job. Come, share your passion, and start your journey with us! Part-time employment can be considered for the right candidate.

In a nutshell, this entry-level position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all rooms, facilities, and common areas of the hotel. You must love working with people, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner. Ideally, you will have experience with property maintenance but this is not essential, full training will be provided for the right candidate.


Job Description

ALL about the role – what you’ll be doing:

  • Performing general maintenance and repairs in the hotel
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the Hotel.
  • Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).
  • Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed with urgency and in the safest manner possible
  • Assist in managing 3rd party contractors

Qualifications

ALL about you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY
  • Competent in the use of basic computer programs
  • Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
  • Demonstrated time management and task prioritisation
  • Ready to assist where required in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and problem-solve efficiently
  • Previous Handyman Experience in a hotel or guest service environment preferred.
