Job Description

Ensuring the beauty and cleanliness of the hotel grounds is an integral part of our guest experience.  As a Groundskeeper your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure the hotel remains an enjoyable travel destination.

Hourly Rate:  $24.61

What you will do:

  • Ensure assigned work area is free of debris
  • Safely operate mowers, basic hand and power tools
  • Repair or replace irrigation systems
  • Replace plant material as directed
  • Trim foliage and mow lawns as directed
  • Control weed or insect population with appropriate tools
  • May be required to spray chemicals for weed or insect control
  • Clean parking area, driveways and pathways as assigned
  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our resort exceeds expectations.
  • Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand

    Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

    • One year previous experience in a similar role 
    • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
    • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
    • Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally

    Your working environment:

    • Work tasks are performed outdoors.  Outdoor conditions will vary throughout the year.  Must be able to withstand very warm and sunny conditions
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 100 lbs.
    • Constant standing and walking
    • Frequent lifting/carrying
    • Occasional pushing and pulling
    • Frequent crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling
    • Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate all necessary equipment
