Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel.
- Inspect and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other hotel equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, lighting, sockets, switches, and basic electrical systems.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including leaks, taps, toilets, and drainage issues.
- Assist with air-conditioning and ventilation system maintenance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to the hotel's maintenance schedule.
- Monitor and maintain equipment in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and staff facilities.
- Report major faults and equipment issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Director of Engineering.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and completed tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with hotel safety standards and procedures.
- Follow Accor's standards for health, safety, hygiene, and environmental practices.
- Assist contractors and specialist technicians when required.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering workshop and work area.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar engineering role.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance problems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Safety-conscious and able to follow hotel procedures.
- Technical/vocational certification is an advantage.
