Job Description

Sofitel London Heathrow is seeking an inspiring and commercially astute General Manager to lead all aspects of this luxury hotel operation.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director for Arora Hotels, this high-profile leadership role requires a unique balance of refined luxury hospitality expertise, emotional intelligence and strong commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences while confidently navigating the scale, pace and operational complexity of one of Europe’s leading airport hotels.

This is a role for a leader who understands that luxury today is not only about excellence and elegance, but also about meaningful human connection, intuitive service and memorable experiences delivered with authenticity and care.

The General Manager will drive financial performance, sales strategy and operational excellence across all business segments, while cultivating a high-performing and engaged team culture aligned with both Sofitel and Arora values.


Qualifications

  • Proven success as a General Manager or senior leader within luxury hospitality environments
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of driving performance, business growth and market positioning
  • Experience leading complex, high-volume operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Naturally inspiring leader with exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for luxury service culture and talent development
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, legal compliance and brand standards
  • Experience within international hotel brands, ideally within the Accor portfolio and UK market
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience
  • Champion of the Arora values — treating guests like royalty and colleagues like family
