We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Front Office Manager to join our hospitality team at Novotel & Ibis Chennai Sipcot. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee the daily operations of our front office and housekeeping departments across our dual-brand properties, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team, drive customer satisfaction initiatives, and maintain the highest standards of service quality across all guest-facing operations while upholding the distinct brand standards of both Novotel and Ibis.

  • Manage and optimize the performance of front office and housekeeping teams across both properties to achieve departmental goals and service standards aligned with Accor brand guidelines
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, loyalty, and positive reviews specific to the Chennai market and SIPCOT business clientele
  • Supervise room inventory management, occupancy tracking, and housekeeping operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with dual-brand operational requirements
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, Accor standards, and industry regulations across all areas of responsibility
  • Analyze financial reports, manage departmental budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or brand positioning
  • Collaborate with other department heads and cross-property teams to streamline hotel operations and resolve interdepartmental challenges
  • Implement and monitor quality control systems to maintain consistent service excellence throughout the rooms division and ensure brand consistency
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff members to build a high-performing team and foster a supportive work environment that reflects our hospitality values
  • Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, turning challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations and strengthen brand reputation
  • Stay current with hospitality industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions to enhance operations within the Chennai market context
  • Schedule staff efficiently while accommodating operational needs, local labor considerations, and maintaining work-life balance for team members
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth, development, and career progression

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with demonstrated expertise in front office and housekeeping operations
  • Proven proficiency with property management systems (PMS), such as Opera Cloud or similar platforms
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a detail-oriented approach to operations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with guests and team members
  • Demonstrated experience implementing customer satisfaction strategies and handling guest relations with empathy and professionalism
  • Solid understanding of hospitality industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and manage budgets effectively
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a valuable asset in our diverse environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations
  • Proven track record of training and developing team members to achieve performance excellence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, resilience, and a positive attitude
