Job Description

No35 at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins is an award winning restaurant with
panoramic views of a beautiful city of Melbourne.

We are looking for a dynamic and professional Restaurant Supervisor with personality and style to join us and assist in leading a team of professionals in a modern restaurant serving great food.

You will be accountable on a shift basis for the operations of the outlet and providing quality service to our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Supervision and support of Ambassadors to ensure standards and procedures are met to provide a positive guest experience

•Assist in Managing staffing requirements to ensure luxury service is provided to guests

•Together with management drive promotions including social media

•Ensure that team members are briefed on all specials and standard menu items.

•Maintain effective communication within the Food & Beverage teams including kitchen; be responsive to Ambassador suggestions and guest feedback

•Responsible for the efficient operation and high quality service of Hotel’s bar outlets

•Maintain product knowledge of all drinks, snack and wine lists in order to advise and make recommendations to guests.  Use every opportunity to maximize sales.

•Ensure that there is adequate coverage at all times, review the roster in the absence of the manager and make changes if business demands it

•Ensure revenue for the shift is accurately accounted for, with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities


Qualifications

•Excellent communication skills 

•Demonstrated experience within a Luxury Food and Beverage environment

•A proven guest focus and ability to build a rapport with guests

•A passion for Food and Beverage

•Must be proficient in computer applications, software and social media

•High level of wine knowledge, cocktail knowledge and bartending skills

•Have a minimum one years’ experience in a similar role

•A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate

•Ability to work a rotating roster including weeknights, weekends and public holidays

•Full working rights in Australia
