Job Description

Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, and managing a dedicated team of bar staff. Furthermore, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that approved service sequences and standards are established and maintained at all times
  • Have an understanding of all licensing and operating legislation which affects the department including the Liquor Act.
  • Perform monthly stock takes on all beverage stock and complete timely reporting of inventory management findings.
  • Assist in staff rostering and developing training plans for all outlet Team Members.
  • Monitor the venue’s budget, control costs and maximise profitability.
  • Assist guests with all enquiries and complaints while providing accurate information to guests about property facilities and features.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and care of all equipment and materials
  • Collaborate with the Venue Manager on events and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high-volume bar
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of bar inventory management and ordering processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
