Food & Beverage Supervisor

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf features golden 26 level tower with 347 accommodation rooms & suites, Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar and Allora Café. The hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere's largest meeting space and adjacent to the DFO centre, with 180+ retail brands.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you'll lead and inspire our F&B team to deliver outstanding service and unforgettable moments for our guests.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day F&B operations whilst leading and inspiring the team to enhance the guest experience, ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided to all guest
• Ensure team members are competent in menu, dietary, and allergens knowledge
• Ensure team members have understanding of beverages and wine list and are competent to make suggestions as required
• Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant area(s), following set opening, closing and daily procedures
• Coordinate with Kitchen team to maintain menu quality and consistency
• Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs while maintaining product quality
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
• Assist in creating and implementing innovative F&B promotions and events

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or in a similar leadership role
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate team members
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and knowledge of food safety regulations
• Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and POS systems
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a positive, customer-first mindset
