Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the various aspects of F&B operations at our hotel, including the conference and banquet operations; while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

  • You will form part of the Food & Beverage management team providing ongoing support, training and development to team members.
  • This is a dynamic role working and managing the Conference & Events and the outlets operations.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to support revenue initiatives and maintain cost controls
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members which a particular focus on ensuring we maintain brand standards and cultivate an upselling culture
  • Meet and greet all conference clients to ensure expectations are met.
  • Prepare, manage and assist in facilitating event operational requirements.
  • Prepare and manage team members for a smooth operation.
  • Ensure rosters have adequate number of team members for future events.
  • Attend all banquet event meetings.
  • Effectively handle client feedback and provide a prompt positive outcome.
  • Regular interactions with Sales & Marketing team

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years’ experience within the Food, Beverage and Conference sector.
  • Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry, with an innovative mindset.
  • Strong focus and passion for hotel, food and beverage operations, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to excel within a busy operation and be able to multitask with a warm friendly approach
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Possession of impeccable attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team to deliver successful operations.
  • Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
  • Ability to facilitate corporate and social events.
  • Must hold a valid RSA
