We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team at Bistro Manly, located within our luxury hotel. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of the food and beverage service, delivering a high standard of hospitality that aligns with our commitment to excellence.

What you will be doing:

• Provide efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
• Recognise and familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to help meet their specific needs and preferences.
• Greet and seat guests, assist with enquiries and reservations, and offer knowledgeable guidance on menu offerings.
• Maximise sales opportunities through suggestive selling and a thorough understanding of food and beverage products.
• Accurately take and repeat orders, input them into the point of sale system, and ensure clarity in dockets.
• Collect meals from the kitchen promptly, check for accuracy and presentation, and deliver them to guests while announcing items.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by following regular cleaning schedules for service areas.
• Operate in accordance with hotel liquor licensing laws and policies, and uphold all Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) standards.
• Maintain a current RSA certificate and apply responsible service practices at all times.

Your experience and Skills Include: 

• Prior hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred but not essential
• A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails
• A strong service focus with attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and positive attitude, with availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
