Job Description

Elevate your career by joining the prestigious Sofitel Brisbane Central with the largest conferencing operation in Brisbane, where excellence is not just a standard but a way of life.

Success in this role is the ability to learn quickly and the desire to provide phenomenal service to our guests whilst working well with others as an all-rounder and team player. Perfectly suited to those who have a basic level of food and beverage service skills and are eager to learn from on-the-job training.

A Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, positive attitude, immaculate personal presentation and the ability to say “Bonjour” is a must.  

  • Work with your team to set conference rooms promptly and accurately to the specifications described on the function sheets
  • Ensure client expectations are met, delivering food and beverage service that exudes luxury and aligns with Sofitel brand standards
  • Take responsibility for your designated rooms or sections during service
  • Ensure all food and beverages requirements are delivered on time and as specified.

Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

  • Four days of availability each week, including Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Availability to work PM shifts starting from 4pm until midnight
  • Basic level of food and beverage service skills including greeting guests, taking orders, cleaning and clearing
  • Physical capability to move heavy items as needed and practice safe handling at all times
  • The ability to carry three plates at once
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification is a must
  • A high level of personal presentation aligning with our brand standard
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and also in a team.
