Floor Manager

We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for an experienced Floor Manager to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the seamless running of our restaurant and lobby by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and guest needs are anticipated.

The Hox in Edinburgh will boast 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city (including the introduction of a new room category for the Hox), a main restaurant and big lobby & bar, a large event space and The Apartment - our unique meetings and events concept.

Experience Italian glam and romance at Patatino, our all-day restaurant, designed to capture the essence of long, joyful, and convivial meals shared with friends on a sun-soaked Amalfi coast holiday. Imagine pizza, pasta and a Negroni or two!

What you’ll do…

• Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to wind down and enjoy themselves.
• Ensure the restaurant/bar area are H&S compliant for each shift.
• Run the daily briefing for the restaurant & bar team.
• Coordinate and run the reservations system.
• Draft floor plan based on covers.
• Support with F&B stock; ordering and stock counts.
• Support with training for the F&B team.
• Scheduling and rotas for team members, ensuring staff levels are maintained appropriately.
• Cash handling and daily reporting of revenues as per hotel SOP’s.
• Responsible for the service on the floor and bar.
• Responsible for the safe opening and closing of the restaurant.
• Work with the culinary team on menus, service and product availability.
