Job Description

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Finance department in the analysis, control and follow-up of the hotel’s financial information, ensuring reliable data, timely reporting and clear visibility of Hyde’s operational performance.

This role supports budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, variance analysis, expense control, reconciliations, financial reporting and key business performance tracking. The position requires an analytical, organized, trustworthy and detail-oriented individual who can work closely with operational departments to support financial decision-making.

Duties & Functions

  • Support the preparation, review and analysis of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Analyze revenues, expenses, costs, margins and variances against budget, forecast and historical results.
  • Monitor hotel financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, deviations and improvement opportunities.
  • Support monthly closing processes, ensuring accurate integration of financial and operational information.
  • Prepare variance analysis and clear explanations for relevant differences in revenues, costs and expenses.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
  • Review and validate information related to revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, covers, average check, departmental costs and other hotel indicators.
  • Support accounting reconciliations, account reviews, provisions, accruals and financial records.
  • Follow up on departmental expense control, identifying deviations and supporting operational leaders in understanding results.
  • Prepare financial presentations, reports and dashboards for Management, Finance and operational departments.
  • Support profitability analysis for outlets, events, promotions, special projects and new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Purchasing, Stores, Revenue, Food & Beverage, Rooms and People & Culture to ensure accurate financial information.
  • Review information related to inventories, costs, purchase orders, consumption and operating expenses when required.
  • Support internal audits, financial reviews, internal controls and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Maintain financial files, backups, databases and documentation organized and up to date.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reports and strengthen controls.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial, payroll, contractual and operational information.
  • Comply with Hyde, Ennismore and Accor standards, internal policies and financial guidelines.

Qualifications

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, auditing, budget control or financial administration.
  • Experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, retail, entertainment or service-driven companies will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, costs, expenses and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, formulas, databases and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, ERP, hotel PMS, POS or business intelligence tools will be valued.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and translate it into clear reports for the operation.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, organization and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, responsibility and professional ethics.
  • Ability to work with deadlines, monthly closings and multiple priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with operational and administrative departments.
  • Intermediate English required; advanced English will be highly valued.
  • Collaborative, proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of hotel indicators such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, GOPPAR, departmental costs and profitability is desirable.
  • Availability to work according to closing, reporting, audit or special project needs.
  • Passion for hospitality, financial accuracy and strategic support to the operation.
