As our next Food and Beverage Team Leader, you will provide an amazing and heart warming welcome to our guests, connecting with them, and ensuring their stay with us exceeds their expectations. You will make friends, develop a reputation for outstanding service, and learn new skills that will support you in your personal and professional development. You will be an all rounder, delivering our service team which says to guests and colleagues 'I belong.'

Our hotel is adjacent to our sister hotel Ibis Portland Street, which means from time to time, you will also be supporting our operations next door.

You'll be a team player, embracing challenges, with a limitless mindset that reminds all of our guests that we are Accor.

You will be the face of Novotel Manchester Centre and Ibis 96 Portland Street. You will be extending a warm welcome to our guests, putting their well-being at the heart of everything you do, while adding your personal touch to their stay. This might mean, ordering that special dish from the kitchen, or ensuring that drink they want from the bar has that extra special twist. Or even, that their room has that special anniversary sparkle that will make their stay truly special. You will be a passionate individual, dedicated to continuously improving the quality of the hotel's services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food and Beverage Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Manchester.

As a vital part of our hospitality organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through high-quality food and beverage service.

  • Provide a warm and personalised welcome to all guests, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • Lead, develop, and support a team of service specialists in daily hotel operations.
  • Maintain high standards of service, contributing to the attainment of the department's qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Assist the F&B Manager to implement hotel strategy and reach KPI's.
  • Develop close relationships with guests to encourage loyalty and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages, ensuring presentation and quality meet our exacting standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand menu items and communicate special dietary requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and concerns
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by supporting colleagues and adapting to operational demands.

  • Passion for hospitality and food and beverage service
  • Previous experience in a similar food and beverage role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and presentation
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to meet the demands of a dynamic hospitality environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry moderate loads
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling financial transactions
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organisation
