Job Description

As a Server with Fairmont Ajman, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous and attentive service to guests in restaurants, bars, banquets, or pool areas.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, promotions, and service procedures.
  • Ensure tables and service areas are clean, well-set, and organized.
  • Handle guest requests and inquiries professionally and escalate issues when required.
  • Promote upselling of food and beverage items when appropriate.
  • Follow hygiene, safety, and service standards at all times.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for service periods and events.
  • Process guest bills and ensure accuracy of checks and payments.
  • Support team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Attend training sessions and team briefings as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Guest-focused attitude with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good grooming and presentation standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays and service equipment.
