Job Description

As our Executive Sous Chef – Events, you’ll be the right-hand to our Executive Chef, leading the planning and execution of all event menus with precision, flair, and a sprinkle of Hyde magic. From intimate VIP dinners to grand celebrations for hundreds, you’ll ensure every plate tells a story and every guest leaves impressed.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing all event-related kitchen operations, from menu planning to service delivery.
  • Collaborating with the Events, Banquets, and F&B teams to create innovative, seasonal menus tailored to client needs.
  • Leading, training, and inspiring the banquet kitchen team to achieve culinary excellence.
  • Ensuring flawless execution and presentation at every service.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cost control.
  • Supporting the Executive Chef in operational planning, supplier relationships, and kitchen administration.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a senior culinary role within hotels, events, or large-scale banqueting.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple events at once.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • A passion for creativity and presentation, matched with a commitment to consistency and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
