Job Description
Engaging service, delicious cuisine and distinctive surroundings make every special event at the Fairmont Banff Springs a truly memorable affair. Showcase your service and organization strengths as Event Set-Up Supervisor, where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help “set the stage” for a successful group functions in our Event space.
Starting Rate: $27.32 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $29.98.
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Build daily task lists, motivate your team, and work alongside them to ensure all event deadlines are met.
- Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms efficiently and safely, following event orders as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas; report any unsafe conditions or equipment.
- Complete office and clerical duties to assist with planning and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide consistent, professional, and friendly service while following all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous guest service experience an asset
- Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with updated Driver’s Abstract
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and carrying/pulling over 20 lbs
- Able to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
