Engineering Executive

Accor is a multinational hospitality company headquartered in France. It's one of the largest hotel groups globally and operates in over 100 countries. Accor was founded in 1967 by Paul Dubrule and Gérard Pélisson. It initially focused on the motel-hotel market in France and expanded internationally in the 1970s and 1980s. Over the years, it has grown through acquisitions and diversification. Accor operates a wide range of hotel brands covering various segments of the market, from luxury to budget. Some of its well-known brands include Sofitel, Raffles, Fairmont, Novotel, ibis, Mercure, and many others.

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Engineering Executive to lead our engineering operations in Mumbai, India. In this pivotal role, you will drive innovation, oversee strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of excellence across our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with exceptional leadership capabilities, demonstrating a commitment to operational efficiency and organizational growth.

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams to ensure smooth functioning and continuous professional growth
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department while maintaining adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals and market demands
• Supervise the upkeep, maintenance, and optimization of all engineering equipment and infrastructure
• Analyze technical challenges and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and product quality
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, transparency, and continuous improvement
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and external partners
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support team member development and career progression
• Identify and mitigate risks while making decisive, data-driven decisions to support organizational objectives
• Champion a customer-focused approach to engineering solutions and service delivery

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 2-4 years of progressive experience in engineering operations and team leadership
• Proven expertise in managing and motivating engineering teams of varying sizes
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in engineering practices and methodologies
• Demonstrated proficiency in project management, budget management, and resource planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
• Strategic thinking ability with experience in developing and implementing organizational initiatives
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, tools, and systems
• Knowledge of industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
• Leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• Ability to adapt to changing business environments and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations
• Preferred: Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or relevant engineering certifications
