As an Electrician you are responsible for the daily operations of all electrical maintenance is carried-out to ensure the safety and proper operations of the equipment’s.

What you will be doing: 

• Ensure all boardrooms and meeting rooms AV technologies are fully operational.
• Set up and manage all technical aspects of the auditorium (audio, video, and lights) and provide overall AV support during events.
• Assist in digitizing different conversion formats for the audio/video streams.
• Assist staff and students with the setup and operation of audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain inventory records of audio-visual equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests in all guest rooms, public areas, and front and back of house areas to keep the hotel in good condition.
• Must be aware of and experienced with PLCs and all types of control circuit rectification and fault diagnosis.
• Execute the preventive maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition to ensure a safe workplace and reduce costs.
• Ensure that all emergency calls are promptly and efficiently responded to.
• Act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations, following the correct procedures when necessary.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as to protect and conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel’s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

• Previous experience in a similar position is desired
• Experience is the hospitality industry is preferred
• Certificate in Electronics / Electrical or related field is preferred
• Conversant in English is am advantage
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility in terms of shifts working hours

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
