Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Duty Engineer to join our team in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines. As a Duty Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operation of our facility's engineering systems and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate daily engineering operations, including staff briefings and work assignments
  • Manage planned and unplanned maintenance programs for various systems, including air-conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, and fire & life safety equipment
  • Supervise team members, ensuring safe work practices and efficient operations
  • Monitor and manage contractor work, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies
  • Prepare consumption reports on power, water, steam, and gas
  • Develop and maintain staff training programs, including induction for new employees
  • Create weekly staff schedules and conduct performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with hotel fire & life safety and emergency procedures
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and adhere to hotel policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant license
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Engineering Repair and Maintenance, preferably in a hospitality setting
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment, and energy conservation practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership experience with outstanding communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering-related software
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in facility management
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
