Job Description

What will you do?

Report to the General Manager, the Director of Revenue is responsible for maximizing Hotel Revenues across rooms and F&B outlets. This role involves optimising revenues, achieving Mondrian Hong Kong’s financial goals, identifying future opportunities, and collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams. Responsibilities include developing the annual budget, business plan, and overseeing the Reservations Department while achieving KPIs.

  • Own Revenue Strategy: Take responsibility for developing and executing the revenue strategy.
  • Monitor Pricing: Track competitive pricing and analyze its impact on performance.
  • Lead Meetings: Facilitate weekly revenue and monthly strategy meetings.
  • Analyze Demand: Provide insights on demand factors and market trends.
  • Ensure Compliance: Align practices with Ennismore’s policies and standards.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
  • Evaluate Channels: Assess distribution channels for performance insights.
  • Manage Revenue System: Oversee the hotel’s revenue management system (IDeaS) and maintain accurate revenue plans.

Qualifications

Knowledge and skills

  • Minimum four years in hotel revenue management, including two years as a Director of Revenue, preferably in a lifestyle or upscale hotel in the Hong Kong or Asian market. 
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Revenue Manager.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a deep understanding of revenue management principles and sales.
  • Excellent presentation skills and high proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong ability to analyse financial statements and market data.
  • Proficient in using computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese, and ideally Mandarin.
  • Kind, friendly, and engaging demeanor, ability to foster positive working relationships and teamwork.
