Director of Restaurants

The Mövenpick Hotel Cairo-Media City is located in the vibrant 6th of October City, offering easy access to Cairo's attractions and just a short distance from Cairo International Airport. The hotel is in close proximity to iconic landmarks like the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, Dream Park, and a 27-hole golf course. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Restaurants to lead our restaurant operations in 6th of October City, Egypt. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of our restaurant portfolio, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for setting the vision for our dining establishments, managing a talented team, and ensuring consistent brand delivery across all locations. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to developing high-performing teams.

• Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize restaurant performance, profitability, and market positioning
• Oversee all operational aspects of restaurant locations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and vendor relationships
• Manage P&L statements and financial budgets, analyzing performance metrics and implementing cost-control measures to achieve profitability targets
• Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate restaurant management teams and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and brand guidelines
• Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and implement strategies to enhance the dining experience across all locations
• Collaborate with culinary teams on menu development, pricing strategies, and seasonal offerings
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), sales trends, and operational metrics to inform decision-making
• Represent the organization at industry events and community engagements to strengthen brand presence
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff development and career progression
• Manage crisis situations and resolve operational challenges with professionalism and decisiveness

• 7+ years of progressive experience in restaurant operations and management
• 3+ years in a director-level or senior management position within the hospitality industry
• Proven expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and budgeting
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, health compliance, and sanitation standards
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple locations simultaneously (preferred)
• Proficiency with restaurant management systems, point-of-sale (POS) technology, and inventory management software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Strategic thinking and visionary approach to business development
• Experience with vendor negotiation and cost management
• Knowledge of the local market in Egypt and regional dining trends (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
