Job Description

About the job role:

You will provide vision and leadership that fosters an engaged team and ensures quality, efficiency and superior service in the Food and Beverage division. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations, drive innovative promotions, and support all F&B departments in meeting financial and operational targets. You will be responsible for budget preparation and adherence, implement cost controls and contribute to strategic planning.

The Director Food & Beverage will provide innovative learning experiences for the Food and Beverage colleagues’ base that drives the definition of personalized service and ensures the brand continues to elevate its reputation. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining service excellence and fostering growth within the F&B division.


What you will be doing: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service, while leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage Division which includes various revenue streams including a heavy banqueting and outdoor catering business, restaurants, bars, in room dining facility, lounges, 
  • to ensure all service standards are followed, and ensuring the implementation of standards in guest service while constantly seeking out ways to improve product and service, as well as increase volumes and profits.
  • Drive innovative promotions, menus, and concepts, creating a destination of choice for both Hotel and external guests, while leading and supporting all Food & Beverage departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets, and assisting in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieving the goals and targets therein.
  1. Prepare annual budgets and administer them in a fiscally responsible manner, implementing effective control of food, beverage, labour, and operating expenses throughout the F&B division.
  • Oversee the selection, training, and development of all Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth.
  • Ensuring optimal performance by being a consistent presence on the floor to support and lead the team to deliver service excellence.
  • Work closely and in partnership with the culinary & stewarding teams to ensure that all food & beverage service aspects exceed guest expectations and promote teamwork as a strong component of premium service culture.
  • Analyse Food & Beverage business trends to develop accurate forecasts and strategies to maximize profits

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and min. 2 years of experience in a food and beverage management role as a head of department, preferably in the Middle East with busy / high volume F&B Operations.
  • Being Multi-lingual i.e.  French /Arabic would be a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
  • Exhibits a demonstrated success in application of financial matters, including revenue generation, cost control, and achieving financial targets.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with guests, team members, and suppliers.
  •  Proficient in F&B management systems, POS systems, and other relevant software.
  • Should have a strong eye for detail when it comes to brand standards and service excellence
  • Should be well versed with latest market trends and F&B Marketing strategies.
