Success in this role depends on your ability to build strong, trusted relationships, translate financial data into meaningful insights, and confidently challenge and support leaders to achieve results.

Key responsibilities

Business partnering & influence:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Department Heads, supporting decision-making and performance improvement
  • Build strong relationships across the hotel, fostering accountability and collaboration
  • Partner closely with the General Manager as a key strategic leader

Financial performance & planning:

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with full departmental engagement
  • Provide clear insights on performance, trends, and opportunities
  • Present results and recommendations to key stakeholders

Driving results:

  • Identify cost efficiencies, revenue opportunities, and operational improvements
  • Build financial capability across the hotel through coaching and training

Governance & leadership:

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls
  • Lead and develop the Finance team, fostering a culture of trust and accountability

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have the following:

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a hotel environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence performance across multiple departments.
  • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights and practical actions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • Strong understanding of hotel systems, financial processes and compliance requirements is highly regarded.

Personal Attributes

  • Commercially minded and results focused. Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and partner across the business.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Confident communicator able to engage with owners, senior leaders and team members.
  • Resilient and adaptable within a fast-paced, complex hotel environment. Committed to building strong teams and delivering consistent financial discipline.

Eligibility
Full Australian working rights required. This role is not available for sponsorship at this time.
