Job Description

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the hotel’s digital strategy, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales to determine the strategic vision for online presence. The role establishes digital marketing goals and implements tactical efforts aimed at driving revenue growth across key digital channels and customer segments, while enhancing the hotel's brand positioning and online image. This position oversees website content management and email marketing, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business objectives.

The Digital Marketing Manager is also accountable for digital data quality and analysis, providing insights and recommending digital strategies to the Director of Marketing. The role ensures that all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, paid advertising, and content strategies, are positioned to achieve revenue goals and drive direct bookings. Additionally, the position oversees third-party platform integrations, optimizes online conversion, and supports e-commerce efforts.

Furthermore, the Digital Marketing Manager identifies opportunities to enhance the digital experience, fosters innovation in marketing practices, and mentors team members to develop digital marketing talent within the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of website updates and content for Fairmont La Hacienda, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Proactively direct digital marketing campaigns, working closely with agencies to optimize performance across all channels, including organic search, paid search, display, mobile, and social media.
  • Analyse results and set strategies for the future, establishing action plans to enhance campaign performance in the upcoming months.
  • Oversee the creation of email marketing campaigns for the hotel, spa, and outlets, leading the development of messaging, audience targeting, and performance measurement in line with brand standards.
  • Coordinate the integration of third-party platforms into the website, including those used for user-generated content, conversion optimization, booking engines, and review sites, ensuring a cohesive and effective digital experience.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote the Fairmont La Hacienda Hotel, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Manage and optimize hotel website content and user experience (UX) to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Utilize digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to monitor website performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Oversee social media strategy in collaboration with the Director of Marketing to increase revenue for the hotel through social paid and promoted posts.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Management teams to create integrated marketing campaigns that align with business goals and drive direct bookings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and digital marketing best practices to keep Fairmont La Hacienda ahead of the competition.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to execute digital marketing initiatives effectively.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and insights to the General Manager and Director of Marketing, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media strategies, and web analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage relationships with external agencies and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Possess a dynamic can-do attitude and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and content management systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and digital marketing best practices.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • A high level of both Spanish and English, spoken and written, is essential.
