Job Description

• Assisting the Chef de Partie Pastry in managing the pastry section of the resort's kitchen and supervising the work of junior pastry chefs, bakers, and other support staff.

• Ensuring that all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards of taste, quality, and consistency.

• Helping in the development and implementation of new pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items in collaboration with the Chef de Partie Pastry and other kitchen staff.

• Assisting in ordering, receiving, and coordinating the use of all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment required for pastry preparation.

• Ensuring that all food safety and hygienic practices are strictly followed in the pastry section of the kitchen.

• Maintaining accurate records of pastry stock levels, food wastage, and other relevant data.

• Actively participating in the training and development of junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.


Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in culinary arts, patisserie, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience working in a reputable restaurant or hotel pastry section.

• Technical knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment.

• Some experience in developing and implementing pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
