Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in establishing, coordinating, and administering all Food and Beverage Control and accounting-related functions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.

  • Develop and implement accounting and reporting policies related to Food and Beverage operations
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, comparing performance with operating plans and standards
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
  • Manage the Food and Beverage Control department, ensuring efficient operations and accurate record-keeping
  • Monitor and control Food and Beverage outlets in terms of wastage, pilferage, and efficiency
  • Maintain and optimize database and point of sale systems
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director and F&B Director to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Provide support to outlet managers on Food and Beverage Cost Control issues
  • Contribute to short and long-term planning for the department
  • Recommend and implement procedural and operational improvements to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

 

  • 5 years of experience in a similar Cost Controller role
  • Strong knowledge of Food and Beverage Control principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and cost control systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements
