Job Description

  • Monitor and analyze food and beverage costs, including purchasing, inventory, and wastage. Prepare regular reports on cost trends and variances.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including stock counts and ordering procedures.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Maintain strong relationships to ensure quality products and services.
  • Collaborate with chefs and management to analyze menu pricing and profitability.
  • Recommend adjustments based on cost analysis.
  • Train and educate staff on cost control practices, including portion control and waste reduction techniques.
  • Prepare financial reports for management that include profitability analysis, cost breakdowns, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
