In Turkey, we provide services to our guests in various concepts with a talented workforce of approximately 8,000 people in the Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul regions.

We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “Corporate & Government Sales Manager” to be considered at Rixos Tersane İstanbul.


Job Description

  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
  • Carry out daily effective physical sales activities, with a number of quote instructed by HOD
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
  • Generate event/group inquiries from accounts and collaborate with Group & Banquet Sales department.
  • Provide an average of 24 hours response to all companies/accounts & ISO’s requests
  • Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media channels
  • Continuous update of mailing list and account / contact profiles of his/her account base.
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
  • Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs
  • Attend Sales events, as required
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Sales team
  • Welcome key customers, team leaders and VIPs to the hotel when they arrive.
  • Understand and be familiar with all product information of competitors, including key customers and their output, hotel rooms, catering, conference related promotion information, and promptly feedback the information to the Commercial Director / Director of Sales/ ADOS.
  • Operate the hotel reservation system to book rooms, banquet venues, etc reasonable framework
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the hotel and the management company
  • Motivating the corporate/ government sales team to achieve the room market segment as laid out in the budget.
  • Together with the Director of Sales coordinate corporate/government functions, i.e. annual parties, seasonal gifts, General Manager's luncheon, etc.
  • To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable  duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required.
  •  To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Preferably luxury brand experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English Language.
