Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team in the beautiful city of Udaipur, India. As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist in mise en place activities, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are prepared for service
  • Prepare dishes according to established recipes and guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Follow proper food storage procedures and comply with HACCP guidelines
  • Assist in inventory management and participate in monthly stock takes
  • Support senior kitchen staff in various tasks as assigned
  • Contribute to cross-departmental cooperation and maintain effective communication with all relevant areas
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new culinary techniques and recipes
  • Work efficiently and economically, minimizing waste and maximizing resources

Qualifications

  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
  • Positive attitude and passion for food preparation
