  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to the menu specifications and as directed by the senior chefs.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and in good working order. Regularly clean and sanitize work areas, including counters, sinks, and floors.
  • Stock Management: Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of food and supplies. Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the senior chefs.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow all food safety, health, and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Support Senior Chefs: Provide support to the Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie, and other senior kitchen staff during service. This may include tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and plating dishes.
  • Learning & Development: Take advantage of opportunities for learning and development within the kitchen. Show a willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills.
  • Waste Management: Assist in minimizing food wastage and contribute to cost control by ensuring proper portioning and storage of food items.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role or establishment.
  • Culinary Skills: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to effectively follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Understanding of health, hygiene, and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen environments.
