Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for efficiently managing the Engineering store inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely procurement of materials, and maintaining proper documentation to support smooth daily operations while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all materials and spare parts in the store.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials and tools.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate requisitions to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Issue materials and parts based on approved requests with proper documentation.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track and record all material requests from the Engineering team.
  • Liaise with the purchasing department to follow up on pending orders and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for delivery scheduling, urgent needs, and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing purchase requests, quotations, and delivery notes.
  • Ensure all stored items are properly labeled and comply with fire and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free store conditions.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and tools for heavy or bulky items.
  • Follow MSDS guidelines for storing hazardous materials.
  • Report safety incidents, equipment damage, or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Implement waste reduction and recycling best practices.
  • Dispose of expired or unused items responsibly.
  • Promote energy and material conservation through inventory planning.
  • Support the use of eco-friendly products when possible.
  • Maintain updated records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Prepare reports on stock movements, usage trends, and inventory status.
  • Ensure all documentation (GRNs, SRs, POs) is filed and accessible for audits.
  • Utilize computerized inventory systems for accurate and real-time tracking

Qualifications

Knowledge And Experience:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent; certification in logistics or storekeeping preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in storekeeping, preferably in a hotel or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering materials, tools, and spare parts.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages an advantage.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of accuracy in stock handling and documentation.
  • Proactive approach to inventory management and problem-solving.
  • Clear communication and coordination with multiple departments.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability to changing operational needs and supplier timelines.

Additional Information

  • Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages.
  • Experience in pre-Opening is a must.
  • A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
