Green Coast Hotel - MGallery Collection, part of BALFIN Group is a unique hotel offering a luxurious escape along the pristine shores of Caesar’s Beach with crystal-clear Ionian waters with 131 elegantly designed guest rooms including 4 luxury & 1 presidential suite, modern architecture, and a focus on sustainability. The hotel includes various F&B spaces consisting in an à la carte restaurant, a destination lobby bar, a pool bar with direct access to the beach area, meetings, Conference & Exhibition spaces consisting in 2 meetings rooms with a total capacity of up to 100 guests welcoming corporates & institutions to organize high-level events of the same certified standards as anywhere else in Europe. Also, well-being spaces, including an infinity heated outdoor pool, a SPA, gym & fitness spaces & a private-beach area.

Chief Steward supervises and coordinates activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers as well as purchases, kitchen supplies, and equipment. He/she inspects kitchens, workrooms, storerooms and equipment for cleanliness and order. He his also responsible for coordinating work of non-cooking kitchen and storeroom workers engaged in activities such as dish-washing, silver cleaning, and storage and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies.
The Chief Steward confers with Manager or catering department concerning banquet arrangements for food service, equipment, and extra employees, hires and discharges employees and posts time and production records. He/she observes and evaluates employees' performance to devise methods for improving efficiency and guard against theft and wastage, takes inventories, silverware, and glassware and also reports shortages and requisitions replacement of equipment.
- Food Safety and Food hygiene.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Opening Experience in Hospitality Organization Preferred.
- Previous experience in Kitchen/Stewarding management in a luxury operation.
- Flexible with changes and challenges and can take a creative approach.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchens and HOH areas ensuring all maintenance needs are looked after.
- Lead and manage the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure S.O.P.
- Maintain and set back of the house health and safety requirements.
- Participate in the training of new team members, both within Stewarding within the F&B department.
- Take responsibility for rectifying hazardous situations, reporting major areas of concern to Executive chef or designate.
- Promote Health & Safety standards.
- Financial performance of the division through labor, cost control initiatives and expense management.
- Oversee the opening of entries and the drawing of positions.
- Observe each race and replay.
- Direct supervision of all supervisors training, performance management, scheduling and assigning of daily duties and long term projects.
- Monitoring controlling the operational budget, labor costs, equipment and supply requisition.
- Actively promote a safe and hazard free work environment.
- Performs all duties of utility associates as necessary.
- Qualifications for chief steward.
- Should be pleasant in appearance and personality.
- Must possess a basic English level.
- Must show flexibility and willingness to work.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in using different kinds of chemical to clean diversified types of utensils and materials.
- Take responsibility to ensure all required tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames.
- Experience at ACCOR is an advantage.
